Transformative EMDR Intensive Therapy for Women

If you are ready to move beyond surface-level coping and experience deeper healing, EMDR Intensive Therapy offers a focused, short-term path forward.

This faith-integrated EMDR intensive is designed for adult women who want meaningful trauma healing in a contained, virtual, and client-led environment — without committing to long-term weekly therapy.

What Is EMDR Intensive Therapy?

EMDR Intensive Therapy is a structured, time-limited approach to trauma treatment that condenses months of traditional weekly sessions into a focused healing experience.

Rather than processing trauma in small increments over time, an EMDR intensive allows for deeper momentum, extended processing, and intentional integration — all within a safe and carefully prepared framework.

This model is especially supportive for women healing from:

  • Sexual assault

  • Domestic violence

  • Emotional abuse

  • Relational trauma

  • PTSD and complex trauma

Who EMDR Intensive Therapy Is For

The Restoration EMDR Intensive is designed for adult women who:

  • Feel “stuck” in weekly therapy and want deeper progress

  • Desire faith to be respected and integrated (never imposed)

  • Need a flexible, virtual option that fits real life

  • Are emotionally stable enough for focused trauma work

  • Want structured, contained trauma processing with built-in support

What Makes This EMDR Intensive Different

Not all EMDR intensives are the same. This EMDR Intensive Therapy model includes:

  • Evidence-informed EMDR delivered in a focused, high-support format

  • Optional faith integration that is client-led and respectful

  • Virtual delivery for women located in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Florida

  • A whole-person approach incorporating:

    • EMDR

    • Somatic awareness

    • CBT and DBT strategies

    • Mindfulness

    • Spiritual integration (if desired)

  • High containment and safety with screening and preparation built in

This is not rushed trauma work. It is intentional, structured, and carefully paced.

Why Choose EMDR Intensive Therapy Instead of Weekly Sessions?

Traditional weekly individual therapy can be incredibly helpful — but for some women, the pace can feel slow, especially when trauma symptoms continue to interfere with daily life.

EMDR Intensive Therapy offers:

  • Greater momentum in trauma processing

  • Less time spent “re-regulating” between sessions

  • Fewer months of ongoing therapy

  • A contained structure that feels intentional and focused

  • Reduced disruption to work and family schedules

For women who are emotionally ready, an intensive format can create meaningful shifts in a shorter period of time.

What Concerns Can EMDR Intensive Therapy Help With?

EMDR Intensive Therapy may support healing for:

  • Intrusive memories or flashbacks

  • Shame connected to abuse or assault

  • Hypervigilance and nervous system dysregulation

  • Emotional numbness or detachment

  • Relationship triggers

  • Fear, anxiety, or panic symptoms

  • Spiritual distress following trauma

  • Body-based trauma responses

This approach works by helping the brain reprocess traumatic memories so they no longer feel immediate, overwhelming, or identity-defining.

How EMDR Intensive Therapy Works

Total Time: 8–10 Hours Over 3–4 Weeks

1. Preparation & Assessment

Before trauma processing begins, we ensure readiness and stability.

  • 90-minute intake and EMDR readiness assessment

  • Trauma and dissociation screening

  • Faith and spiritual history exploration

  • Preparation resources and grounding practices

Preparation is essential. We do not skip this step.

2. EMDR Intensive Processing Sessions

  • Scheduled across Thursdays to allow for consistent pacing and integration.

  • Built-in grounding, regulation, and integration breaks

  • Faith-based elements included only with your consent

Extended processing time allows the nervous system to move through trauma material with less interruption and greater continuity.

3. Integration & Follow-Up

Healing does not end when processing stops.

  • 60-minute integration session

  • 60-minute follow-up session

  • Support for nervous system recalibration

  • Meaning-making and forward-focused planning
